Steve had a full-time job (before retirement) with Walsall Council but worked as a scout in football on the side for several decades. He had some assignments on behalf of Gareth Southgate with England and Middlesbrough and also worked for other Premier League clubs. Locally, Steve was Chief Scout at Hednesford Town from 1994 to 2000. His family have also been friends over the years with Michael Parkinson and the cricket umpire, Dickie Bird.
Steve will be sharing some of his brilliant stories from his scouting days on Wednesday 13th August 2pm-3pm.
It is a drop-in session and there will be free refreshments available.
