The Domestic and Household Collection focuses on everyday life in the home, with objects donated by local people that reflect domestic life – from household management and food preparation to childrearing and personal care.
These objects are complimented by photographs, documents, and personal belongings that help tell the story of daily life in the local area. The collection also includes objects relating to homeware, personal grooming, cosmetics, and domestic medical care. Within the collection are also a selection of 19th and 20th century domestic textiles, furnishings, and clothing.
