The trail connects key heritage landmarks, including The Great War Hut, Hednesford Hills, and sites that echo the region’s mining and military past. Each section of the trail offers a window into the life and legacy of the Chase — its people, its places, and its ever-changing landscape. Interpretive panels and local artworks bring these stories to life, celebrating both the resilience of the land and the creativity of its communities. Along the trail, QR codes enhance the experience in two ways. Visitors can explore animated interpretations that bring the Chase’s history to life visually, or they can follow the “Hear Our Heritage” audio trail, which provides narrated versions of the interpretation panels to listen to as they walk. These digital features make the trail an engaging, multi-sensory journey, blending traditional heritage with modern storytelling.
