Cannock Chase Cultural Compact
The Cannock Chase Cultural Compact is an independent partnership committed to rebuilding and strengthening the area’s cultural life. Bringing together South Staffordshire College, Staffordshire Libraries, the Rugeley Rose Theatre, Support Staffordshire, and Cannock Chase Council, the Compact acts as a collaborative voice for culture — championing creativity, participation, and opportunity across the district.
In a time of change, the Compact has continued to bring people and organisations together to explore new ways of working and nurturing creativity locally. By connecting with regional and national partners, including Arts Council England, it is helping to create pathways for fresh investment, skills development, and cultural activity — ensuring that Cannock Chase remains part of the wider creative landscape.

The Audience Agency
The Compact has also been working with The Audience Agency to produce a detailed cultural report mapping the district’s creative activity. Due for publication in summer 2026, this research will provide important insights to help shape future cultural priorities, partnerships, and support.
