Each episode explores a carefully chosen object alongside the people whose lives, work, or memories connect directly to it — revealing the rich and personal stories behind Cannock Chase’s heritage.
The series features conversations with local community groups protecting heritage today, reflections on the area’s once-thriving glassmaking industry, powerful accounts of New Zealand soldiers who trained on Cannock Chase during the First World War, an intimate look at the life and work of beloved local poet Nancy Foster, and first-hand memories from former miners who worked underground at Lea Hall Colliery.
