School Visits

Our educational visits are full of fun and informative activities for children with a wide range of abilities and knowledge. Hands-on activities, including interactive time in the galleries, artefact handling, quizzes, make and do, role play and a whole lot of active learning make up the day! Children are encouraged to handle artefacts, ask questions and go behind the gallery barriers with our educators.

As five-times winners of the Sandford Award for Heritage Education the museum has a proven record in providing quality educational activities for primary school children. We provide fantastic value for money with full day tours starting from £5.95 per child and there is a discount for Cannock Chase schools.

Our tours relate to our collections, local history and environment and cover themes that include; Coal Mining, World War Two and the Home Front, Toys and the Stone Age,
