The Museum of Cannock Chase welcomes donated items that advance our mission to collect, document, conserve, store, display and interpret items relating to the social, industrial, military and local history of the Cannock Chase area
Our storage and exhibition space are limited, and we can’t accept any object unless there are adequate resources for its care. As we have no in-house conservation team, we’ll usually only acquire objects which are in good or excellent condition.
We tend only to accept artefacts which bear a clear relationship to the Cannock Chase area. Items from outside the area may occasionally be accepted if there is a gap in the collection and there is clear evidence that objects of this type were used in the area, or for outreach and handling activities.
If you’d like to donate an artefact to the museum, please download and print or save this form and return it to the museum either by email (to museumofcannockchase@ihlmail.org or by post, providing as much background information as possible. We’ll assess each case individually and contact you with our decision.
