We’re thrilled to announce that the Cannock Chase Collections Online Catalogue will be launching next year!

Thanks to generous funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund, soon you’ll be able to explore over 15,000 historic objects that tell the rich story of the Cannock Chase District and the wider county — from its earliest days to the vibrant communities we know today.

Started in the 1980s, the collection continues to grow, celebrating our shared heritage, people, places, and industries.

The online catalogue is still a work in progress, so some details may be incomplete or updated over time. We’re committed to continually adding new content to make this the best possible resource for everyone.

Axiell is the digital home where the Cannock Chase Collections will live online. It’s a specially designed platform that helps museums, libraries, and heritage groups care for their treasures — from photographs and documents to objects and stories — and share them with the community.
